Position Overview:

Hotel Silberhorn & Spa, a renowned hotel located in the heart of the beautiful Swiss Alps in Wengen, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Steward (m/f/d) to join our team for the upcoming summer season. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing & Cleaning – Ensure the efficient cleaning of dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen utensils.
  • Kitchen Hygiene & Organization – Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and stewarding areas.
  • Waste Management – Properly sort and dispose of waste and recyclables according to regulations.
  • Support with Deliveries – Receive, unpack, and store food and beverage supplies correctly.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Ensure dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment are used correctly and maintained properly.
  • Support for Kitchen & Service Teams – Assist chefs and service staff by keeping workstations clean and organized.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards – Follow all hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience & Skills – Previous experience as a steward or in a similar role is an advantage, but not required.
  • Reliability & Commitment – A hardworking, responsible, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Physical Resilience – Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
  • Flexibility & Availability – Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Hygiene & Cleanliness – Awareness of hygiene regulations and a structured, clean working style.
  • Team Player – Ability to collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Basic Language Skills – Understanding of German or English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
